Welcome to 'Dogs With Special Jobs' activity page. This is where you can have hours of fun with word and number games and colouring pages. Teaching children more about working dogs and the special work they do for the people with vision impairment.
Our children's books assist them to understand how a working dog offers a dynamic form of independent mobility, safely guiding their handler wherever they need to go. Working dogs enable the handler to walk freely and feel confident knowing their working dog will not only recognise obstacles in their path but also guide the person safely around them.
Pogo and Sootie are the first working dogs to be showcased in the series of children's books, 'Dogs With Special Jobs'. Please regularly check our website for updates and new activities and book releases.
Each working dogs activity sheet has been specially designed to provide the participant with exercises in numeracy, literacy, fine motor skills and comprehension. They provide a variety of fun and educational activities and reinforce the amazing things that working dogs do.
Working dogs are really clever, very special and they bring an enormous amount of happiness and freedom to their owner's life.
